• Account & Contact Information: name, email address, phone number, billing address when you create an account or purchase our services.
• Resume & Profile Data: the content you upload or provide to build your resume (education, employment history, skills, certifications, photo if provided, and any other details you include).
• Payment Information: payment transaction details (transaction ID, amount, payment method). We do not store full card details — payment processing is handled by our third-party payment processor (e.g., Razorpay/Stripe) in accordance with their terms and security practices.
• Usage Data & Logs: IP address, device and browser information, pages visited, and actions taken on our site (used for analytics and troubleshooting).
• Communications: messages you send to our support team and any responses.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and deliver your Premium resume and the downloadable file after payment.
• To share your resume with industry-specific recruiters when you request or as part of the service.
• To host and store your resume securely for up to one year from the date of payment or upload, to enable on-request sharing.
• To process payments, send invoices, and comply with tax and billing requirements (GST invoicing).
• To communicate with you about your account, order status, support requests, and important service changes.
• To improve and analyze our services and prevent fraud or abuse.

3. Sharing & Disclosure

We may share your information in the following circumstances:

• Recruiters: When you opt in or request, we will share your resume and contact details with industry-specific recruiters who partner with or accept resumes from PostMyCV.
• Service Providers: Third-party providers (payment processors, hosting providers, analytics vendors) who help us operate the service. These providers are contractually required to protect your data.
• Legal Requirements: If required by law, or to respond to legal process, protect our rights, or enforce our Terms of Service.
• Business Transfers: If we merge, are acquired, or sell assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify users when required by applicable law.

4. Data Retention

We retain your resume and related profile data for up to one year from the date of payment or upload to allow on-request sharing with recruiters. After one year we may delete or archive the data unless you request otherwise or you renew storage. Transaction and billing records may be kept longer as required by tax and accounting rules.

5. Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to provide and improve our services, analyze site usage, and help with security. You can control cookies via your browser settings; however some features of the site may not work properly if cookies are disabled.

6. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure; while we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Payments & Billing

Payments are handled by our third-party payment gateway. We collect billing information necessary to issue invoices and receipts (including GST where applicable). For security and PCI compliance, full card details are not stored on our servers.
